Raven was already in the deep of the dungeon, her right hand gripping the metal grasp of the torch as she crept through narrow passageways, ducking her cloaked brow low. Carefully she passed through the various sharp twists and turns of it's path, her katana steel securely sheathed at her side. The distant light echo of dripping water in the background as she continued looking for him...The constantly changing hues of her irises were now a delicate blue shade, glowing brightly as she peered around the dark corridors. She halted her footsteps only briefly, as her nostrils flared slightly, before she continued down into the massive darkened chamber. Only a stretched arms distance could be seen clearly forward, forcing her to rely on her other vital senses. Her pace suddenly slowed, her eyes closing as she inhaled deeply a swirl of his ancient sent. The deep burning aroma filled the damp frozen air around her. Suddenly her head tilted towards the distant sound of his iron chains dragging heavily and shifting violently the marbled floor beneath them. A bone chilling familiar growl was heard approaching...her eyes blinking blindly as she waited in the darkness. An effort to see the shadowed form completely useless given her location. Her pale face darted at immortal speed towards the now illuminated source of sound as she lifted her torch upwards in a swift motion. With instantaneous reaction her violently bright crimson optics met that of the massive red dragon's . "Well...pleased to see me , I see." A slightly sinister laugh escaped her lips as she unchained his neck , allowing him cautious freedom, one that merely lasted till dawn. "Go, hunt now .. I know it's been too long , darastrix." She spoke her words powerfully yet elegantly as she waved her palm towards the exit, gracefully bowing. "Go.. now and report back ..you know the drill" .Ethratis nodded slowly and bowed slightly in return before pressing his talons deeply into the dirt of the terra beneath him, forcing his form skyward. As he pushed forward a violent blow of winter air blew towards Raven's cloaked form, her hair blown wildly and swirling around her ivory face. Only the dull glowing crimson of her irises and the slight gold flicker of her aurix amulet remained illuminated in the night. She stepped out, her feet meeting the freshly fallen snow that seemed to touch every edge of the forest floor. Winter's cruel blast of frozen dampness had left the oaks glistening with ice that shimmered like fine crystal by the slightest ray of moonlight above. Her chin tilted upward as she stood near the iron gated entrance. Her studying eyes tracked the shadow closely as his massive form soared through the air, his wings outstretched fully. The outlining trees below the belly of the beast, shook with furry as he darted towards the safety of the Forbidden Forest for his kill. Raven drew in the air deeply, exhaling slowly, it's heated vapor passing her lips and echoing its presence from a distance. She stood stoic, silent, one arm gently folding across her chest as she tapped lightly her fingertip to her temple. Softly whispering to the great dragon filling the sky above, reminding him that he was bound by blood. An ancient oath they'd taken. He was granted mercy, though he'd hardly earned such an action given his crime. Yet, her blade was sheathed that night a hundred years before, instead of serving its purpose by gifting its lethal final strike through his heart. She'd allowed him to live, only by servitude...a beast bestowed immorality by a previous mortal enemy. Raven Carden, the last of the gold dragons...
